We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, proactive and result-oriented marketeer to join our team. As an agency-side marketing strategist, you will work with a variety of clients, in a variety of sectors to help solve complex marketing problems. You will play an integral role in understanding client aims and objectives and develop strategies across multiple channels (PR, social media digital).

  • Understand the scope of work, which is unique for each project
  • Define a set of questions for the client interview meetings
  • Conduct research, particularly PESTLE and competitor analysis, segmentation and target market identification, and relevant channels within the agreed budget
  • Research and write the strategy in line with the project scope and Acorn Strategy's methodology, ensuring all deliverables are met and that the strategy is realistic within the client’s resources and budget
  • Ensure all written and verbal communications are of the highest quality and are in line with guidelines
  • At each defined stage, meet with other members of the strategy team to provide feedback and ensure alignment
  • Build strong relationships and networks with clients and colleagues
  • Attend client meetings with the strategy lead
  • Organise client presentation meetings in line with the scope and present professionally and passionately


  • Assist the senior leadership team during the proposal and business development stage
  • Identify and propose new opportunities to improve Acorn Strategy's client service delivery
  • Develop ideas for articles that you can write to position Acorn Strategy as a leader in marketing strategy and implementation


  • BA/BS in a relevant field, or MBA, or recognised marketing/communications qualification
  • Must have an integrated marketing background, 8-10 years in marketing implementation strongly preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate research capability that leads to client-specific marketing recommendations, particularly PESTLE analysis, segmentation, and target market identification and relevant channels within the agreed budget
  • Ability to translate the marketing strategy into a full marketing communications plan, recommending budget, ways to measure and ROI
  • In-depth knowledge of all marketing channels (PR, social media digital), a thorough understanding of digital platforms is preferred;
  • Able to build a collaborative relationship with all internal team members, third party stakeholders, and clients
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to simultaneously deliver on multiple tasks, projects, and accounts in a cross-functional environment, fully aware of timelines and deadlines associated with each campaign, project, or deliverables.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills, both written and verbal, high-degree of fluency in English
  • Self-aware and open to constructive ‘360’ feedback.
